SVI® II AP Digital Positioner
The new SVI II AP (Advanced Performance) positioner uses the identical philosophies and physics of the highly successful, existing SVI II positioner. However, the new SVI II AP positioner enhancements significantly extend the performance level of digital valve positioners to new heights. In addition to performance enhancements, the modular construction and use of many marine grade components have greatly increased the ruggedness and durability of the SVI II AP positioner in harsh environments.
The increased position certainty is assisted by a dramatic increase in execution speed, which is the result of the patented onboard control algorithm that positions the valve. Improvements in the control algorithm itself now afford one button autotune in valve applications that were previously unattainable. The SVI II AP positioner is so fast it has been tested and qualified for use in anti-surge applications by many world leading compressor manufacturers. Valves using SVI II AP positioners are now online within milliseconds, and at position in much less than a second, an extraordinary leap in technology, performance, and competitiveness.
Engineered for ultra high reliability the SVI II AP positioner incorporates many marine grade components. The standard offering is tropicalized and it is designed to meet the stringent requirements of IEC61508 SIL2, out of the box. Due to the modular design, the
SVI II AP positioner meets the changing demands of the user, continuously providing field upgradeability to offer the user the “value desired”. A few of the most notable options available are an offshore version that is fabricated of stainless steel, explosionproof design, local indicating LCD, pushbuttons for local calibration and a remote position sensing mechanism. Currently the SVI II AP positioner is certified for use with most distributed control systems including: Emerson®, Honeywell®, Yokogawa®, and others including those who have registered HART® DDs and FTD-DTMs. The SVI II AP positioner and options results in a digital positioner with the highest degree of flexibility and fitfulness for purpose that can be found on the market today.

complement the existing line of SVI II AP product range, the Easy Smart SVI II AP-1
digital positioner has been designed to offer a compact, high performance digital
instrument that is economical and easy to commission.
The
most notable areas of enhancement are in the housing that is ATEX tight proof and
intrinsically safe only and in the pneumatic relay.
