Description:

The Becker Model VRP-SB-PID is a three mode, proportional-integral-derivative, controller providing pressure control when utilized with a spring & diaphragm actuated control valve or in tandem with a pneumatic positioner. The VRP-SB-PID measures process sensing pressure adjusting the signal to the positioner or actuator to maintain the pressure setpoint. The VRP-SB-PID Controller may be utilized for short pressure control applications such as power plant regulation with setpoints ranging from inches WC to 1300 psig. A feedback module is added to the VRP-SB-CH design allowing the controller to respond in quickly and avoid cycling of the pressure system. The VRP-SB-PID features zero steady state bleed and can take a back-pressure.

Benefits
  • The VRP-SB-PID Sensing Pressure and the Control Spring are combined in the same CH combined chamber so that only the net force in transmitted to the VRP-SB-PID Pilot Body.
  • VRP-SB-PID Pilot Sensitivity improved to 0.75%.
  • The VRP-SB-PID control spring is totally enclosed and protected from potentially corrosive effects of the atmosphere.
  • The New VRP-SB-PID design provides for substantially reduced number of models available. This makes selection and support of VRP-SB-PID Pilots easier.
  • The New CH combined chamber is identical in design for all Becker VRP Pilots. Additionally, new control spring designs provide for wider setpoint range for one spring and greater sensitivity.
  • The increased volume of the VRP-SB-PID combined chamber
Usage:
  • Power Plant Type Pressure Control
  • Two-Stage Pressure Cuts
  • Short System Pressure Control
Range of Product:

Setpoint Range: Inches WC to 1300 psig

Alternate Models:

  • Gap Controller (on-off service)
  • Stainless Steel construction

Action:

  • Direct Acting (Increasing output signal on increasing sensing pressure)
  • Reverse Acting (Decreasing output signal on increasing sensing pressure)
  • Field reversible
