Becker Trip Valve
Description:
The Trip Valve Assembly protects
double-acting control valves from loss of supply gas pressure. In the
event that the supply gas pressure falls below a minimum level, the trip
valve will do one of the following:
- Lock control valve in
last position
- Stroke control valve to
full open position*
- Stroke control valve to
full closed position*
*These applications require
additional volume tank to perform operation

Failure Modes:
The trip valve may be configured
to do one of the following in the event of supply gas loss, and must be
specified upon initial order:
- Lock control valve in
last position
- Stroke control valve to
full open position*
- Stroke control valve to
full closed position*
*These applications require
additional volume tank to perform operation
Volume Tanks:
Volume tanks are available
in a variety of sizes to accommodate even the largest actuators manufactured
by Becker. Consult Becker for proper sizing of trip valve
volume tanks.
